ABSTRACT

Atualmente, a questão da identidade emerge como conceito central nos estudos acerca da singularidade dos indivíduos no trabalho. Embora as concepções conceituais sejam diversas, elas se referem às representações que os indivíduos elaboram sobre si mesmos e os outros, sendo construídas na relação com o outro, como resultado dos diversos processos de socialização. Assim, as organizações podem ser consideradas um espaço privilegiado de construção de identidades. A pesquisa teve como objetivo compreender como os chefes de departamento constroem suas identidades no trabalho. Foram entrevistados chefes de departamentos acadêmicos de duas universidades federais em Minas Gerais, cujos depoimentos foram analisados por meio da análise temática. Os depoimentos apontam para a configuração de uma identidade multifacetada, posto que o ambiente em que atuam lhes confere e lhes exige uma atuação particular, que possui tempo de validade, metas variáveis e um processo decisório permeado por interesses e relações de poder nem sempre claros.


Currently, the issue of identity emerges as a central concept in the studies regarding the singularities of individuals at work. Although the conceptual conceptions are different, they refer to the representations that individuals elaborate about themselves and others, being constructed in relation with the other, as a result of several socialization processes. Therefore, the organizations may be considered a privileged space of construction of identities. The research aims at comprehending how the heads of departments build their identities at work. Heads of academic departments of two federal universities in Minas Gerais were interview, and their depositions were analyzed by means of thematic analysis. The depositions indicate the configuration of a multifaceted identity, once the environment in which they work confers upon them and requires a specific performance, with a term, variable targets, and a decision-making process mixed with interests and power relations which are not always clear.

ABSTRACT

This article analyzes how different institutional domains related to varieties of capitalism appear in the literature (corporate governance, relations between companies, industrial relations, employer-employee relations, and qualification processes) in the United States, Germany, Spain, Korea, Argentina, Mexico, and Brazil, and adds dimensions like the relationship between the business community and the state and patterns of insertion in the national economies and the world market, in order to identify the different institutional configurations in which enterprises operate in these countries. The article then describes the main characteristics of the industrial policies developed by the various countries, considering their relevance for both these configurations and the Brazilian context, in order to identify the institutional policies and changes that could help Brazil achieve greater success in increasing the companies' capacity for technological innovation.


Dans cet article, on examine comment apparaissent aux EUA, en Allemagne, Espagne, Corée, Argentine, au Mexique et Brésil les différents domaines institutionnels analysés par la littérature concernant les variétés de capitalisme (gouvernance entrepreneuriale, rapport entre les entreprises, relations industrielles, relations entreprises-employés, processus de qualification), en y incorporant des aspects comme les rapports Etat patronat ainsi que les modèles d'insertion des économies nationales dans le marché mondial, de façon à reconnaitre les différents cadres institutionnels dans lesquels opèrent les entreprises de ces pays. Ensuite, on présente les principales caractéristiques des politiques industrielles menées par les pays mentionnés, compte-tenu de leur bien-fondé vis-à-vis de ces éléments et du contexte brésilien, de façon à définir les politiques et les changements institutionnels ayant le plus de chance de succès au Brésil quant à l'augmentation de la capacité d'innovation technologique de ses entreprises.
